A Kenya where every dog and cat is safe, healthy, and free from unnecessary suffering, and where people and animals thrive together in compassionate communities.

Mission

Tumaini Tails Foundation rescues, cares for, and finds homes for Kenya's vulnerable dogs and cats — while working at the source through our TNVR program — trapping, sterilizing (spaying/neutering), and vaccinating free-roaming animals — to end the cycle of suffering before it starts.

Our Approach

We believe lasting change takes both compassion and prevention. Our sanctuary, foster, and adoption programs give vulnerable animals safety and second chances — a forever home, or lifelong sanctuary care. Alongside this, our TNVR (trap-neuter-vaccinate-return) and mobile veterinary programs reduce suffering at its source, stabilizing free-roaming populations and bringing essential care to animals who'd otherwise go without. We also invest in community education to build lasting, humane coexistence — and we track and report our impact so every supporter can see exactly what their generosity makes possible.
