From Pallets to Paradise: A Thank You Note to PetStore for the Beds-to-Be and Kibble
Some donations come wrapped in bows. Ours came in a large truck — sixty pallets, to be exact, and a mountain of dog and puppy food bags!
We are beyond grateful to Petstore for donating 60 wooden pallets, now being transformed into cozy, sturdy double-decker beds for the dogs at our sanctuary. What was once destined for a warehouse corner is now prime real estate — the kind our residents fight (gently, mostly) over nap rights to.
On top of that, Petstore also donated over 190kg of dog and puppy food — enough to keep tails wagging for quite a while. It's a gift that goes well beyond our sanctuary gates too, helping feed the dogs and puppies we support out in the wider community as well.
There's something wonderfully fitting about it: a pet store helping pets rest easier and eat well, one pallet and one kibble bag at a time. No fancy packaging required — just good timber, generous portions, and a team happy to see it all put to far better use than holding up boxes.
So to the team at Petstore: on behalf of every dog that will now be snoozing in blissful, well-supported comfort with a full belly, thank you!
