Meet Fawn: Our Little Baby Deer
Fawn arrived with a name that fits her perfectly - dewy, soulful eyes, a gentle spirit, and the sort of quiet grace and frame that makes you want to slow down and pay attention. She is happy, playful, and unwaveringly sweet, the type of dog who seems constitutionally incapable of meeting a stranger she doesn't like. Cats, dogs, humans of all ages and temperaments. Fawn gels with everyone, no interview process required. She simply decides you're friends, and that's that.
What makes Fawn truly remarkable, though, is the story behind that calm and cheerful exterior. She came to us having lost her sight in the shock of a crash, alongside multiple fractures and a dislocated shoulder - the kind of ordeal that would understandably rattle any creature to its core. And yet, here she is: recovered, resilient, and radiating the sort of quiet joy that makes her past struggles almost impossible to believe. If there were a medal for grace under pressure, Fawn would wear it, tilt her head thoughtfully, and then promptly ask for a belly rub.
Speaking of that head tilt, Fawn has developed a quirky little incline of the neck that gives her a permanently pensive, philosopher-at-work expression, as if she's quietly pondering the great questions of the universe (or, more likely, whether you're about to produce a treat). It's the kind of small, endearing habit that tells you everything about who she is: a dog who has been through so much, and still meets the world with curiosity, warmth, and an open heart. Fawn isn't just looking for a home she's ready to bring a whole lot of light into one.
